How do you keep your white clothes white

I'm not really good in washing clothes that why I worrying how to our clothes white. I decided to ask an expert of course our mother right? She said that be careful NOT to wash anything colored with whites...synthetic fibers pick up dyes very easily. And if something does get dingy, a good soak in an oxygen bleach, like for 24 hours, whitens it right up. Clorine bleach is not bad....it can weaken fibers, so I wouldn't use on anything like fine table linens or cotton lace, but for white towels and underwear, it's find if used according to the directions. Mix with water and pour into the washer before adding the clothes and add only the maount called for by your washer's directions.

Career Path

My Career Path

Two months from now is the fast approaching of our graduation day and I think now would be the best time of making plans for my career. After graduation if I will be able to complete my case before it approaches I plan to take the board exam on the month of July. Right after graduation I will be enrolling in a review center by April and I plan to take it here in Davao City. But if ever I won’t be able to complete my cases by March then I plan to take the board exam by November. And after graduation I will stay in manila for the summer. It will be good if I take a vacation before the review for the board exam starts. After taking the board exam on July I will to go to Manila by August and stay there with my sisters for 4 months. While staying in Manila and the result comes up and I receive my license, I plan to take some trainings and seminars there. By January 2011 I will be coming back here in Mindanao and I will continue to take some trainings and seminar and maybe become a volunteer. By June 2011 I will be applying in a tertiary hospital whether in Manila, General Santos or Davao City maybe. The salary that I will be receiving will be divided and half of it I will be giving it to my parents regularly and the other half will go to my savings. I plan to work in a tertiary hospital for 1 year and after that 1 year experience I plan to take the NCLEX. After passing the NCLEX I plan to apply for work in abroad in US maybe and while applying and waiting I will continue to work in a hospital to buy me some time of experience. Three years after graduation I assume that I am already a registered nurse who have undergone many trainings and seminars and also became a volunteer. And who have work in a tertiary hospital for 2 years and have passed the NCLEX. Also in this year I’m already applying for abroad and I’m just waiting to be hired.

I'm only read this career plan from one of the student in Ateneo. I'm really admired to the person who wrote this kind of career path.

I'm Back

Hello guys, I'm back from a long long Christmas vacation. I spend all my time to my kids and family. I only cooked humba and barbeque for Christmas, since me and my kids together with my mother and my stepfather will celebrate Christmas. After dinner I decided to take a nap so that I can wake-up before 12 midnight but I didn't wake-up on that time. December 25 morning, me and my kids, visited in my aunt place. They invited us to spend time to their house as what we always did. Christmas is not like before when my father is already alive. When I'm a kid, I'm always excited every time I heard about Christmas, but right now most of the people are busy, they don't have enough time to celebrate Christmas eve. What do you think guys?

Schizophrenia

What is Schizophrenia anyway? I always heard about this word from the student of Ateneo near where I'm working. One student shared this to me:

Schizophrenia from the Greek word skhizein (split) and phren (mind). It is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a neuropsychiatric and mental disorder characterized by abnormalities in the perception or expression of reality. It most commonly manifest as auditory hallucinations, paranoid or bizarre dilutions, and disorganized speech and thinking with significant social or occupational dysfunction. Schizophrenia is a serious brain disorder that distorts the way a person thinks, acts, expresses emotions, perceives reality, and relates to others. People with schizophrenia the most chronic and disabling of the major mental illness often have problems functioning in society, at work, at school, and in relationships. It is a life-long disease that cannot be cured, but usually can be controlled with proper treatment. There are many theories about the cause of schizophrenia, but not yet proven. There are five types of schizophrenia the catatonic, disorganized, paranoid, residual and undifferentiated. Our patient suffers from undifferentiated schizophrenia which have the characteristic of positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia but do not meet the specific criteria for the paranoid, disorganized, or catatonic subtypes.

Patients with undifferentiated schizophrenia do not experience the paranoia associated with paranoid schizophrenia. Undifferentiated schizophrenia cannot be cured, but can b e managed with a cooperative effort. According google.com about 697,543 Filipino suffers from this disorder and at about 10 million around the world, mostly Americans.

We choosed this case because we as a group want to gain more knowledge about the said disorder and to know the different treatment, management and prevention. As a student it is very important to us to know the different management and intervention to be given or apply to a patient with this disorder because psychiatric patients needs extra attention and care unlike to the ordinary ward patient.
